The Woodland Caribou inhabiting Newfoundland are the southernmost on the continent and this is the only place in the world where this species can be legally harvested. Spruce Pond is ideally located near one of Newfoundland's most vibrant woodland caribou herds.

*Attention hunters: The province of Newfoundland and Labrador has introduced a 5-year Caribou Strategy to address declining numbers. As a result we have an extremely limited number of caribou licences available.
